Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce Honored to Attend Ribbon Cutting for National Mounted Warrior Museum

The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce was honored to attend the highly anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony for the National Mounted Warrior Museum on Wednesday September 18, 2024.  This monumental event celebrated the hard work of everyone involved in bringing this incredible gift of history to the community. Retired Lt. Gen. Paul E. Funk, president and CEO of the National Mounted Warfare Foundation, addressed the audience with praise for those on who have served and the many people that helped bring this Museum to life.

The museum showcases the rich legacy of mounted warfare, honoring the brave men and women who have served in cavalry and armor units. The dedication and tireless efforts of those behind the museum have ensured that visitors will have the opportunity to experience an extraordinary journey through military history. The museum us excepted to attract well over 300,000 visitors in it’s first year. 

Located at 105 Trooper Loop , Fort Cavazos, Texas, the National Mounted Warrior Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free, making it a must-visit for families, history buffs, and anyone eager to learn more about our nation’s mounted warriors.
