Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce Endorses CCISD Bond Proposals

COPPERAS COVE, TX — Recognizing the vital link between strong public schools and a thriving local economy, the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has voted to endorse the Copperas Cove Independent School District (CCISD) bond proposals and encourages the community to vote in favor of them.

The Board carefully reviewed the bond proposals, including their potential impact, tax implications, projected growth, and facility needs across the district, with a clear focus on the long-term benefits for both the community and the local economy.

The bonds represent an investment in the future of Copperas Cove by supporting essential upgrades to aging campuses, improving safety and accessibility, and modernizing learning environments. These improvements are critical to maintaining the district’s strong academic performance and ensuring that Copperas Cove remains a desirable place to live, work, and do business.

The Chamber also strongly supports the Career and Technical Education (CTE) components, which will expand and enhance hands-on learning opportunities for students. By providing updated facilities and equipment for workforce-based programs, the bonds help prepare the business owners, skilled professionals, and community leaders of tomorrow, creating a direct investment in the city’s economic future.

“We are proud to support efforts that strengthen both education and opportunity in Copperas Cove,” said Beth Galick Carney, President and CEO of the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce. “This bond will help provide the safe, modern learning environments our students deserve and the workforce our community needs.”

Cliff Sanchez, Chairman of the Board of Directors, added, “Investing in our schools is an investment in the future of Copperas Cove. By expanding Career and Technical Education programs and modernizing facilities, we are creating a direct pathway from the classroom to our local workforce. These improvements not only prepare students for success but also strengthen the talent pipeline that supports our city’s growing economy and business community.”

The Chamber’s Board believes that supporting these bond proposals aligns directly with its mission to promote economic growth and strengthen the overall prosperity of the Copperas Cove area. Quality education, especially programs that develop real-world career and technical skills, is one of the most powerful tools for workforce development and long-term business success.

Early voting for the CCISD Bond Election runs from October 20 through October 31. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. Early voting in Copperas Cove can be done at the Copperas Cove Early Voting Center, 809 South Main Street. The Chamber encourages all residents to learn more about the proposals and make their voices heard at the polls.
